Carbon and Climate

LeQuere et al. [2009], in Nature, provide the most recent summary of the state of the global carbon cycle. 

Khatiwala et al. [2009], also in Nature, describe an exciting new methodology to elucidate the complete time-history of anthropogenic CO₂ invasion into the global oceans. Their results agree with previous estimates for the ocean inventory in the 1990's, and indicate that from the 1800's to 2008, the ocean absorbed 140 Petagrams of anthropogenic carbon.
